| Hey Guys,
I just bought a new computer with Windows 8.1 and COD 4 MP will not run on it. Single player works fine, but, not having any luck with 1.7 patches or compatibility settings.
Anybody able to direct me in the right direction? Is there a better option, like Windows 7 or something that I can get the game going again? | |

| Hey sc.Nobody|A;
I bought a new system with Windows 8.1 in January of this year and play COD4 without compatibility mode at all. Just make sure your patch is the same that the MP server is using (Patch 1.2, not 1.7).
Cheers, Ollie | |

| Plug something into your headphone jack there is a driver glitch with some soundcards. | |

| Hey thanks guys! I found the problem. It was the sound mixer in sound properties that was disabled. I found a hit on Youtube that showed what the problem was and how to fix it. | |
